1. Beneficial Combination of Foods

        Do's for following combination of foods for easy and proper digestion -

Muskmelon(Kharbooja)    -        With Sugar

Mango                              -        With Milk

Banana                             -        With Green Cardamom(small ilaichi)

Dates                               -        With Milk

Tamarind(Imli)                 -        With Jaggery

Corn                                -        With  Curd

Radish                             -        With Radish Leaves

Rice                                 -        With Curd

Aniseed(Saunf)                -        After Guava(Amrood)              

Jaggery(Gurh)                  -        After Watermelon(Tarbooj)

Coconut Giri                    -        After Rice

2.   Harmful Combination of Foods




Some food items(solid and liquid)when eaten alone work as nectarlike,but work as a poison when mixed with other food items.Some liquid and solid foods because of their contradictory properties results in various diseases,which can be prevented by avoiding eating such food items.


Don'ts For Following Combination Of Foods for prevention of various diseases/side effects and indigestion -

Milk - With Curd,Fish,Salty Foods, Tamarind, Coconut, Muskmelon, Radish, Jaggery, Oil, Citrus Fruits etc.

Curd - With Kheer, Milk, Cheese, Hot Food/drink, Banana, Radish, Muskmelon etc.

Kheer - With Khichdi, Wine, Sour Foods etc.

Honey - With Radish, Grapes, Hot Foods, Hot Water/Milk, Khichdi etc.

Hot Water - With Honey

Cold Water - with Groundnut, Ghee, Oil, Watermelon, Guava, Pine nuts, Cucumber, Any Hot Food or Hot Milk etc.

Ghee - With Honey(In Equal Quantity)

Muskmelon - With Garlic, Radish Leaves,Milk,Curd

Watermelon - With Mint, Cold Water

Tea         - With Cucumber

Rice         - With Vinegar

Jaggery         - With Radish


3.  Indigestion With Overeating

Indigestion Caused By           Can Be Cured By Eating

Banana               - 1 or 2 Green Cardamom

Mango                   - Milk, 2-3 Jambu fruit(jamun)

Tamarind                - Jaggery

Peas                    - Ginger or dried ginger

Lemon                   - Salt

Urad Dal (Black gram)   - Jaggery

Rice                    - Cockonut,Curd,Hot Milk,Carom seeds

Jambu fruit(jamun)      - Mango or little salt

Muskmelon               - Sugar mixed water

Watermelon              - One clove or little salt

Apple                   - Little Gulkand/Cinnamon

Guava                   - Aniseed

Sugarcane               - 2-3 Green berry(Ber)

Corn                    - Curd

Kheer                   - Black pepper

Apricot                 - Cold water

Gram flour              - Radish leaves

Radish                  - Radish leaves                                            

Sweet Potato

Old Ghee                - Lemon juice

Ghee                      - Black pepper or Hot water

Green Berry           - Suck sugarcane or drink Hot water
